Take Comfort

Author: Ed Howes

Ask Christians who understand bible prophecy and they will tell you these are the last days of the last days before Jesus returns to earth. Ask astrologers and they will tell you this is the transition between ages and such are always upsetting and disorganized to chaotic. Ask me and I'll tell you the earth has become a runaway train no one will stop before it leaves the tracks. There is nothing, at this point, any human or group of them can do. Big destruction is now inevitable. It does not matter if we conserve energy, stop global warming or even love our neighbors. What must be will be. Yet it is no cause for despair. You and I still have a personal choice to make.

You and I can jump off the train before it leaves the tracks. We might get bruised and bloodied when we jump, but the other option is to cross our fingers and ride the train until it comes to a stop. From what I can tell from scripture, two out of three people will choose the second option. Most of them will never know they had a choice. That means you are already part of a lucky minority unless of course, you want to ride the train. Like most disasters there will be survivors and you could be one. But you will be seriously injured in all likelihood and help may be none too handy..

Unless you are a last days Christian, you already expect to die, because so far everyone who is no longer living has done so. It is only a question of how and when. Even then, you have some control and some choice. You can plan a suicide or you can minimize your risks and take good care of yourself. The when will still be a mystery but the how now has probability. If you stay in your house you are not likely to get run over by a car or fall out of the sky in an airplane. Then there are those pesky household accidents, though the odds are very much in your favor. My point is you make a choice whether to live dangerously or minimize your risks. It has always been different strokes for different folks.

No matter what your choice is, once you have weighed the risks and made your choices, you can relax. It does not matter where the bombs fall, what flu bug sweeps the earth, what poison makes the air unfit to breathe. Nothing depends on you. You don't have to try and stop the train. You don't have to concern yourself with the choices others make. You are mentally, emotionally and spiritually prepared for your own destiny. You will be one of very few who can take comfort.
